Enforcement Procedure
Everyone has the right to request that a website or any of its elements be made digitally accessible. You can also request information by an alternative means of access, for example, by having a digitally inaccessible document read aloud, having the content of a film without audio description described, etc.
The request should include the details of the person making the request, an indication of which website is concerned, and a method of contact. If the person requesting information needs it via an alternative method of access, they should also specify the most convenient way for the information to be presented.
The entity should process the request immediately, no later than 7 days from the date of the request. If this deadline cannot be met, the entity will immediately inform the person making the request when the request can be fulfilled, with this new deadline not exceeding 2 months from the date of the original request. If ensuring digital accessibility is not possible, the entity may propose an alternative method of accessing the information.
In the event that the entity refuses to fulfill the request for accessibility or an alternative method of access, the person making the request may lodge a complaint with the appropriate national authority responsible for enforcement in the respective EU member state.
